The Toronto Argonauts have won four consecutive matchups against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, three of which being underdogs. Once again, oddsmakers have anointed the Argonauts as the betting underdog for Friday night’s game. While the +124 money line offers excellent value, our analysis strongly favours the Argonauts to exceed their team total of 23.5 points at -120.

After a lacklustre start to the season, scoring only 29 points in their first two games (an average of 14.5 points per game), quarterback Nick Arbuckle and the Argonauts' offence have hit their stride. Last week, Arbuckle showcased his talent by throwing for 316 yards against the Bombers en route to a 31-17 victory. In their previous five outings, the Argonauts have averaged 31 points per game. They have not only surpassed the 23.5 team total each time but have scored at least 25 points in all five contests.

On the other side of the ball, the Blue Bombers have struggled significantly. They began the season strong, winning their first three games with a combined score of 97-57 (allowing only 19 points per game). However, they have since lost their last three games by an alarming margin of 109-53, giving up an average of 36.3 points per game during that span.

Considering that the Argonauts are averaging 31 points per game in their last five contests while the Blue Bombers are yielding over 36 points per game in their recent losses, our model favours the Argonauts to score at least 23.5 points under the Friday night lights.
