B.C. visits Edmonton in a Western Shootout
Week 6 in the CFL closes with what should be a good ol'western shootout in Edmonton. Fresh off a 39-33 victory over the Ottawa Redblacks, the Edmonton Elks are a different team than we saw manage only 14 points against the B.C. Lions in week 1. The Elks are now 3-1 to the OVER this season, and their offence, led by Tre Ford, is starting to click, posting at least 28 points in two of their last three games played. On the other side of the ball, Edmonton is giving up a league-worst 7.65 yards per play and allowing opposing quarterbacks to complete 77.6% of their passes.
Lions signal caller, Nathan Rourke, is also rounding into form. In his return from injury last week, the Canadian product threw for 352 yards and a touchdown. He also has an uncanny ability to extend plays with his legs, rushing for at least 40 yards in every start this season.
With two confident Canadians under centre, look for a shootout in Edmonton on Sunday night.
