Real Madrid will face Manchester City in the Champions League quarter-finals, while Arsenal have drawn Bayern Munich. If City and Arsenal can win their quarter-finals, they will face each other in an all-Premier League semi-final.
Atletico Madrid were paired against Borussia Dortmund in Friday’s quarter-final draw in Nyon, Switzerland, while Paris Saint-Germain will play Barcelona. The winners of those ties will compete in the other semi-final. Arsenal only just made it through to the quarter-finals, beating Porto in a penalty shootout earlier this week after the tie finished 1-1 on aggregate. Their opponents, Bayern, similarly lost their last-16 first leg 1-0 against Lazio but a 3-0 win in Munich saw them reach the quarter-finals.
City, meanwhile, were comfortable winners against Danish side FC Copenhagen, securing 3-1 victories home and away to progress. Real Madrid were given a tough test by RB Leipzig, but secured qualification to the quarter-finals after a 1-1 draw in Spain followed a 1-0 away win in Germany.
That draw arguably put the four strongest teams in the same half that being City, Real Madrid, Bayern and Arsenal. The winner between Real Madrid and Man City will be away in the first leg against Arsenal or Bayern. Atletico or Dortmund will host the first leg against PSG or Barcelona.
The first legs take place 9-10 April, with the second legs on 16-17 April. As for predictions and best bets, those will come closer to the matches come April.
