This Course is only five years old, however, this will be the second time the PGA TOUR has utilized the venue. The first TOUR stop at Congaree was in June of 2021 for the Palmetto Championship. The course is a 7,655-yard par 71 and features Bermudagrass greens. There are a couple stats that jumped off the page for success here in 2021. Those were driving accuracy and approach play. This golf course was literally built on a sand trap. If you miss the fairway, you’re on the beach. There is sand everywhere, if you miss the fairway you are at the mercy of the golf gods.
