Alright, we missed some Top-20 tickets with terrible beats on Sunday but we're back in action at Torrey Pines (One of my favourite courses to bet). In order to score well at Torrey Pines, players will need to consistently do three things. One, drain putts on Poa greens, especially from inside 15 feet. Poa is not as smooth as Bermuda nor does it have the natural grain of bent grass. Poa is a surface that will reward confidence and punish pernickety. The second is long iron play. This course is long, and with the current weather conditions, it will play even longer. Players must give themselves opportunities, to put up birdies with accurate iron play. The third and arguably most important factor is elite driving on these long and tight fairways. If a player goes into the rough more likley than not they're dropping a shot. If they lay up, to play it safe they'll be chasing the field. There is no room for error off the tee this week.

The field features 10 of the top 30 golfers in the Official World Golf Rankings. Max Homa returns to defend his title, two-time winner Jason Day will be out there as will Patrick Cantlay, Collin Morikawa and Xander Schauffele. The feild is stacked, we have our ideal model, let's attack.
