After a five-year wait the Toronto Argonauts are Grey Cup champions once again, defeating the Winnipeg Blue Bombers 24-23 in a back and forth contest which came down to the wire.

Playing on a tender ankle the league’s Most Outstanding Player Zach Collaros went 14/23 for 183 yards and an interception, while the Argos turned to backup Chad Kelly to provide some magic leading the Double Blue to victory with a big offensive drive in the fourth quarter.

AJ Ouellette found the end zone on two occasions, while Henoc Muamba was named the Most Outstanding Player of the championship game, with three tackles and an interception in the fourth quarter.
newline
Muamba was also named the top Canadian, becoming the first player to win both awards since Andrew Harris did it with the Bombers in 2019.

Janarion Grant put the Bombers ahead with a 105-yard punt return touchdown, while Brady Oliveira had 15 carries for 82 yards.
newline
Before being replaced by Kelly late in the game, Toronto QB McLeod Bethel-Thompson went 15/28 for 203 yards, with Cam Phillips catching four balls for 96 yards.
newline
After blocking a field goal in the dying minutes of the game, Winnipeg marched into field goal range as Marc Liegghio attempted a kick from 47 yards for the win.
newline
Unfortunately, the three-peat was not to be as his kick was blocked as well, leaving Toronto to kneel down and secure the victory.
newline
Toronto remain unbeaten in the big game since 1987, as the Argos have now won a CFL high 18 Grey Cups.
