Frank Reich’s time with the Colts has come to an end with the club announcing on Monday they had parted ways with the former quarterback.
A lopsided 26-3 loss on Sunday to the New England Patriots was the final straw for Reich who was in the midst of his fifth season as coach of the Colts.
During his time with the club Reich had amassed a record of 40-33-1, leading them to a pair of playoff appearances in 2018 and 2020.
Indy is currently on a three-game losing streak, second in the AFC South with a record of 3-5-1.
His firing comes the week after Indy dismissed offensive coordinator Marcus Brady.
Before joining the Colts, Reich served as offensive coordinator for the Philadelphia Eagles when they captured their lone Super Bowl title in 2018.
The Colts will be turning things over to Jeff Saturday to serve as interim head coach for the time being.
Saturday is a former six-time Pro Bowl offensive lineman in Indianapolis who was a part of their victory at Super Bowl XLI.
He had previously served as coach Hebron Christian Academy from 2017-2020.
