Jake Guentzel
- With Hanifin and Henrique n Tarasenko all being moved in the last day or so Guentzel is no for sure my top forward on the trade board. The long time Penguins winner may struggle with his health at times but 51 points in 49 games this year is nothing to sneeze at. Guentzel versatility and scoring touch could benefit a lot of teams right now; did I mention he has 98 goals over the last three seasons? (Update it is rumoured Guentzel is a hair away from heading to Carolina).

Matt Dumba
- I have always liked Dumba and think he is underrated plus the market for big-bodied defenseman with solid two-way ability is always bad. On top of this Dumba can likely be had for cheap and is under 30. I'm definitely looking at the Leafs here (Update the Leafs have added two defenseman in the last 24 hours and another a day or two earlier so looking less likely than I initially thought)

Jacob Markstrom
- Given the player exodus (Lindholm, Tanev, Hanifin) that Calgary is in the middle of it begs the question is Markstrom on the block cause given his resurgence this year I'm sure a few teams at least are interested I don't think there's a remotely comparable goalie who could be on the market. Personally I don't think he is going to get moved but I bet the phone is ringing a lot.

Frank Vatrano
- Vatrano has been a bit hot and cold this year but he's also had something of a breakout scoring 29 goals in 62 games so far, passing his previous high of 24 set in 18-19 season. On top of this he is versatile on offence and under 30, it seems likely somebody will get enamoured with possible potential here.

Jakob Chychrun
- This is a weird one as the Yotes dealt him to Ottawa last year after a bit of a trade saga. Ottawa has not seen the success they wanted this year and its fair to wonder if they are considering making a big move. Of possible players on the market few have the upside or youth (still only 25) Chychrun poses (personally I think he would be a great add for most teams if the price is right). However Chychrun liked Ottawa and seems to want to stay; could a trade turn him sour?

Honourable mentions
- Jake Allen - A highly regarded solid backup who is apparently doing a great job as a mentor in Montreal
- Pavel Buchnevich - listen he has 24 goals and 24 assists in 60 games this year let alone it's rumoured the Blues are willing to retain salary
- Trevor Zagras - is he on the block and was him being voted the NHL’s most overrated player deserved?
